Married for over 45 years with 3 married children and 11 grandchildren.
They have served with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 44+ years in church planting (one of which is Skyview Alliance Church here in Whitecourt), associate pastor and interim ministries. They have worked with families in counselling and support groups during their time of ministry. It’s been their privilege to see people come to Christ and be able to disciple them. Jim recently retired from fulltime ministry after a fruitful time of service. In a prayer time with some colleagues Jim was so encouraged because although he is no longer punching a clock – a friend blessed him with a thought that he is now delivering the good news of the gospel one deposit at a time. Jim is teaching the Kairos course in central Alberta and is the rep for our region. Teresa has journeyed with individuals healing from childhood sexual abuse. She has worked in the school system and has had the privilege of training women in leadership throughout Alberta and Cuba. She has served her denomination as director of Women’s Ministries provincially and locally. It’s been her distinct privilege to be on national committees for leadership development and currently serves the community of Sylvan Lake as deputy mayor. As speaker and author Teresa enjoys her travels across our nation and beyond. She uses humor and passion to encourage people to become all they were created to be. "Just Breathe (Hope Beyond Hurt)" published in 2009 is a story of God’s amazing grace that saved her and His Redeeming love that continues to heal her. |
